Collection: Jupiluxe
Jupiluxe's journey into music began around 2014/2015, during a time when personal challenges weighed heavily. In the midst of intense emotions, she found a release through music.
"My music became my voice," Jupiluxe reflects on those early days. The ability to pour her feelings into sound offered a lifeline, one that would eventually transform into a full-fledged career. When the pandemic hit in 2020 and the world came to a standstill, Jupiluxe found herself with extra time and fewer excuses to hold back. This marked the beginning of her official foray into the music world.
"I had no more excuses. The extra time let me commit to trying to post online, and I haven’t looked back since," she says, referring to the moment she started actively pursuing music full-time. For someone who had always been socially avoidant, the experience of being perceived online by a growing audience was daunting, yet rewarding.
"Being perceived can get super taxing mentally," Jupiluxe admits. "But fathoming how many folks my music has been able to reach and seeing how it affects them has been entirely rewarding. It's what keeps me motivated nearly the most."
Despite the growing attention, Jupiluxe didn’t rush into the spotlight. Her first official solo set came only two years ago at SuperHappyFunLand in Houston, a pivotal moment for the artist. Before that, she had performed sporadically, popping up as a surprise guest with various collaborators but shying away from booking solo performances. "It took me a long time to feel comfortable agreeing to any solo booking offers because I’m truly a hermit."
With time, Jupiluxe has seen personal and artistic growth. Reflecting on her earlier work, she recognizes the improvement in both quality and content. "When I got started, my quality control was so much lower. I was just happy to be making something," she laughs. "Now, with having built the writing muscle, I feel my lyrics are far less embarrassing for me to recall, and I’m more proud of my performances."
Her recent track, inspired by someone in the Pacific Northwest, is an example of how naturally her songwriting flows. She crafted a title that subtly hints at the geographic location, leaving it as an Easter egg for attentive listeners. "I tend to let my feelings write for me most of the time. The lyrics sort of wrote themselves."
As Jupiluxe looks to the future, she is driven by a simple but powerful desire: to keep creating. "I love connecting with others through something that I feel is as important to me as breathing," she says. Music, for her, is more than just a career—it’s a way of life. Going forward, she plans to continue following her natural creative instincts, sharing her journey, and reaching more people through her art.
